Located in the commune of Pont-et-Massène, the dam is situated across the river Armançon, creating a reservoir. Although its main function is to supply the Canal de Bourgogne, the reservoir has since also been used to collect drinking water.
A wide range of leisure and sporting activities have developed in the surrounding area, including swimming, fishing, water sports and hiking.
Built between 1878 and 1882, it was modernised in 2016.
Come and take a look behind the scenes with a VNF agent, who will explain everything you need to know about how it works.
Places are limited and must be booked in advance.
