Visite de la Safranière Nivernais-Morvan
A unique experience in autumn, when the saffron flowers are in magnificent bloom.
Did you know that saffron is also grown here? Enjoy a unique experience when you visit this farm, where more than 20,000 bulbs buried in the ground come into full bloom in autumn. Thousands of mauve flowers as far as the eye can see, and up close, orange-red like a setting sun, their pistils stretching out their spindly arms. After your visit, sample our homemade saffron products. Visits on 13, 27/09 and 11/10, by prior arrangement with the Tourist Office.
Take a guided tour of the Safranière du Nivernais Morvan, located in Alluy in the Bazois region, where saffron is grown in an unspoilt environment not far from the Nivernais Canal and Châtillon-en-Bazois!
After a tour of the farm, you can sample its saffron products: jams, tea or fruit jellies, vinegar, mustard, fleur de sel, etc.
