In this second part of "Eastern Winds, Western Winds" the cello is in the spotlight and the musical journey takes us from Vienna, with Beethoven, Schubert and Brahms, this Viennese by adoption, to Eastern Europe, with a diversion to the gypsy and klesmer music that has influenced so many musicians. The second panel takes us across the Atlantic to the American dream, following all those European musicians who emigrated to the USA,
"Vents d'Est Vents d'Ouest" lends itself to infinite variations, the musical repertoire is so rich... the difficulty is to choose... choice of works, choice of formation: with the piano, two female singers, a clarinettist and a trumpet player as in Lormes, or two female singers, a clarinettist and a percussionist in the Talant version... and here the female singer, the cello and the piano...
