Un jour, un artisan : Martine Taupin, personnages en feuilles

I have been creating leaf figures for more than 30 years. I give life to autumn leaves by playing with their colours, shapes and textures.
I create my characters from flexible leaves (fresh or humidified) assembled by tying and gluing. These creations are dried and then undergo several baths of colourless varnish.
In the end, elegant ladies rub shoulders with a Tuareg, musicians (violinist, saxophonist, accordionist...), a clown, witches, couples of dancers, a host of various characters from my imagination.
