Tondo

Since antiquity, the history of art has included a number of round paintings, called "tondi", or "tondo" in the singular, which comes from the Italian "rotondo".
The "Tondo" exhibition offers a contemporary perspective through the work of artists who have taken up this format, which has been lost over the centuries in artistic practice and only resurfaced in the early 1900s. Its round and particular shape expresses what no other format can, symbolically synonymous with perfection, and influences the work that is produced.
