Painting with pigments course

A day to discover and experiment with painting with pigments.

Make your own paint, prepare the colours from natural pigments in powder form.

Two techniques will be discussed:
- tempera (egg paint)
- acrylic paint

Pigments, binders, fillers and additives... real recipes to prepare and test.

1st part of the day: recipes, production, tests
2nd part of the day: painting

Equipment to bring :
- painting knives
- brushes of various sizes
- hair dryer

Materials provided :
- powdered pigments
- various binders, fillers and additives
- supports: cardboard and medium boards
- dosing and mixing equipment (spoons, pipettes, etc.)
- small containers with lids to store the paint
