Course Draping or the mastery of volume drawing

A day to learn or review the basics of drapery design.

The study of the structure, shadows and lights allows an understanding and an accurate reproduction of the folds and the general volume of a draped fabric.

Working carefully on this ability to observe allows you to progress in all representations of volumes in drawing and painting.

Work in grey values with charcoal and if you wish work in colour with dry pastels.

Techniques :
Charcoal
Art chalk
Dry pastels

Materials provided:
Charcoal
Drawing paper

Materials to be provided:
- Assortment of art chalks in shades of grey or sanguine (at least 3 values: light, medium, dark)
Art chalks are sold in boxes or individually

- If you wish to experiment with colour work: dry pastels and paper suitable for pastels
