Faithful accomplices, Aedes and Les Siècles join forces in the interpretation of a monument of sacred music, the Stabat Mater by Francis Poulenc, a favourite composer of the ensemble since its inception. Going beyond the vision of the weeping Virgin, Mathieu Romano's reading traces a true path of faith, marked out by hope, desolation, confirmation and fervour, until the word of Mary bursts forth as a message of hope in the face of divine revelation.
