For the exhibition curator or artist who crosses the discreet threshold of the former spinning mill for the first time to enter the succession of its immense rooms, it is clear from the outset that he or she is going to have to reckon with a singular and demanding personality. This building, which speaks loud and clear, is not simply a space definitively frozen in a heritage or memorial posture, but a setting suited to the hosting of contemporary artistic productions, playing in resonance with the views that permeate it today and the chorus of voices of those who lived it.
