Located between the Roche de Solutré in the Mâconnais and the Moulin à Vent in the Beaujolais, Maison Jean Loron is one of the oldest and largest winegrowers in southern Burgundy.
We offer a guided tour followed by a commented tasting of the wines aged in oak barrels.
During the visit?
- Discover the different stages in the making of a barrel, notably through a film on the ancestral know-how of one of the jewels in the crown of French cooperage, Dargaud & Jaegle.
- Let yourself be guided into our century-old cellars, among our collection of old vintages and our barrels made from prestigious oak trees, housing our greatest vintages: the Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru and the Moulin-A-Vent Champ de Cour
- And for the occasion of the Fascinating Week-End, Rodolphe, Cellar Manager, will open the doors of our ageing cellar, which contains nearly 1,000 barrels, to you exclusively.
You will end your visit with a commented tasting of 3 wines to understand the influence of oak barrel ageing on the wine.
