Artist duo Chantal and Daniel Riout will be exhibiting their paintings and sculptures for 6 weeks, an ode to nature and its wild side.
Daniel Riout has always been passionate about horses, and is a self-taught sculptor. His work has been enriched by observing the aesthetics and movement of these magnificent creatures, as well as by his travels and encounters with other animals that have inspired him. This work, which brings out the beauty of the horse and sublimates its gaits, has led him to analyse aesthetics through sculpture.
Wood allows him to evoke the power and elegance of curves through a stylised essential. Made directly on the piece of raw wood, they are unique and entirely handmade.
Chantal Riout invented her own personal universe at a very early age. From childhood, her perception of the world was coloured by contact with nature and her special relationship with domestic animals, which gave her her first "escapes". This sparked her curiosity to travel and her passion for horse riding. A revelation: the discovery of a subtle alchemy between strength and grace, loyalty and freedom, unique to horses! It was also a way of suspending time and savouring this delicious osmosis.
The artist now moves between figurative and abstract art - the essential aim being to convey impressions and emotions that can be shared...
