Simone and Jacques Belin should never have met. He thinks he's chic and gallant. She, on the surface, is a poor, naive and touching girl.

In a railway station bistro, accompanied by a very intrusive waiter, these two characters, who are at odds with each other, get drunk. Despite all their differences, they tell each other stories and invent new ones on a wild, drunken evening. But they're in for a rude awakening!
