On the occasion of the night of the bat, the Pyramide du Loup offers you different animations and participative workshops. Come and take advantage of this day to learn a little more about bats, their behaviour and their biology.
A bat specialist:
Cécile Lemoine is in charge of biodiversity at the Communauté de communes de Puisaye-Forterre. She has a Master's degree in Eco-engineering of wetlands, biodiversity and bio-indicators from the University of Angers and works at the Puisaye-Forterre Community of Municipalities. As a project manager, she is in charge of several projects, the main ones being the management of the Puisaye-Forterre Natura 2000 site and the coordination of a biodiversity atlas on several communes. Her work aims to preserve and understand the local natural heritage, including wetlands and bats, while taking into account existing human activities.
Programme of the day:
16:30 - An interactive presentation will be held under the Pyramid dome. The presentation will talk about the biology and behaviour of bats. Know them better to protect them better! The presentation will be done with a slide show as well as with the film.
6pm - Stroll along our educational trail on bats, with the presentation of facilities in favour of bats with Cécile Lemoine, Natura 2000 project manager.
8pm - Documentary film
Please note: it is necessary to reserve to take part in the film.
9pm - A bat observation will take place in the park of the Pyramide du Loup, where they live. We are a bat sanctuary. With the help of a detector, we will be able to listen to the ultrasonic calls of the bats. A special circuit detects sounds made by bats that are inaudible to the human ear and transforms them into audible sounds.
We also offer creative activities and workshops for children on the theme of bats.
