A singer-songwriter, she unfurls her world spiced with me'taphores and musicalises percussively with Alfred le Cello, her cello, which she uses like a double bass. Standing up.
She explores her voice in an expe'rimental way, playing with all the different timbres possible, from lyrical to gypsy to rolling the R's. You can hear fragments of world music, trances, Spanish me'lope'es, and English with a re'invented accent that she uses with humour.
Nina Hagen and Iva Bittova inspired her to use her voice as a musical instrument, while Barbara, Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel were her mainstays when it came to interpreting lyrics.
Her new album, 'Bain de Lunes', is a kind of intimate, feminine cartography, where gentleness and revelation are associated and assumed.
