Lou K, originally a solo project by multi-disciplinary artist Lucie Lefauconnier, takes on a strange space when it becomes impossible to speak. So that all the subterranean stories take on another form. The lyrics are frontal and raw, without losing any of their poetic quality: they are an elegant and powerful portrayal of the suffering of being dispossessed of oneself and one's body.
The electric guitar lends a grunge aesthetic to the tracks, while the cello adds layers of softness and, at times, heartbreak. This is rock without artifice, visceral and captivating, carried by a quartet of female musicians.
