Do the people of Mâcon really know about this ruin, which they call "le Vieux Saint-Vincent"? They know that it is part of Mâcon Cathedral, which was destroyed at the end of the 18th century. But do they realise that, without looking like it, this building is one of the oldest in the region? That it contains a truly exceptional collection of sculptures (some of which remain a mystery)? And that, for lovers of architecture, it is a veritable repertory of construction methods from the year 1000 to 1500? This talk will take a close look at the building, using drawings, plans and photographs.
