The most beautiful drowning man in the world
One day, on a beach, fishermen from a nearby village discover a drowned body washed up by the sea. They take it to the village, clean it up, find that it is a man and that its dimensions and appearance prove that it is not from their home. Neither from home nor from elsewhere. The drowned man is a stranger... to the Earth!
This short story by Garcia Marquez dates from the 1960s. Yet it is more contemporary than ever. Our era is confronted with a massive influx of migrants who prefer to run the risk of dying at sea rather than misery on their native land.
Daniel Scalliet tells us the superb text. Sometimes chanting, sometimes declaiming, he is supported by the rhythmic double bass of Sébastien Bacquias.
