THE DAY OF THE NIGHT
Cerisiers is committed to the protection of nocturnal biodiversity and the starry sky against light pollution.
A major cause of insect extinction, disruption of our biological clock, disruption of ecosystems up to 200 metres under the ocean and a threat to pollination, these are the causes of the millions of street lamps and illuminated signs used for public lighting and shop fronts.
But we can do something about it: join us on Saturday 15 October at 7pm at the Cerisiers media library for a nocturnal outing to listen to our friends the bats in the company of Didier Duchesne from the CPN Réveil-nature association and Julien Parent, a bat biologist.
For this occasion, the public lighting will be turned off earlier and we encourage the inhabitants to do the same in their garden (the schedule will be communicated later).
Information and registration at the media library.
