Theatrical performance of "Le Lavoir by Dominique Durvin and Hélène Prévost", directed by Gaëlle About of the Compagnie du Bonheur Vert. The inhabitants will be able to experience open-air theatre while enjoying the beautiful heritage of Saône-et-Loire.
Accompanied by Gaëlle About, director, seven actresses play washerwomen from the beginning of the 20th century who meet around the washhouse on the eve of the First World War. Mothers, workers, nannies, women of "little virtue" and cleaning ladies untie their words and their bodies by reproducing ancestral gestures in a place where they are free to speak and share their daily lives.
These women will make the audience laugh with their common sense. But they will also touch them because through their exchanges mixed with fatalism, they will hear the revolt against the difficult fate that awaits these women. This play, written in 1986, is an invitation to immerse oneself in a time when women were on the verge of playing a major role in society.
With Laurence Anglard, Sylvie Bolzani, Michèle Campana, Marie Blanche Fontaine, Martine Hagry, Monique Lacroix, Catherine Sigot, Christophe Thibault and Stéphane Dufief.
