As part of the Migrant'Scène festival
LA MÒSSA [world music]
La Mòssa is a perpetual movement, a polyphonic and percussive whirlwind. With a tougher repertoire that's more rooted in today's world, these four world artists are shaking things up a bit more. More cross-border than ever, they're always drawn towards borderless trance. Their multiple identities are at the service of a group even more united by percussion, in a spirit of pagan celebration, feverish and committed!
ZIYA [world music]
Ziya's artistic project was born, in the heart of the Nièvre region, around five musician friends brought together in autumn 2019 thanks to the enthusiasm of Élise Charles. From their singular commitments and experiences, and their peregrinations, they have assembled a rich and intense proposal in sixteen languages. A finely chiselled blend of melodies and rhythms that invites you to travel, and claims the universal character of the music of hearts and bodies. Five timbres of voices harmonise, respond to each other or follow one another, following the path of multiple world languages: Portuguese, Russian, Italian, Arabic, English, Serbian, Hungarian, German, Armenian, Greek, Ladino, Bambara, Guadeloupean Creole and French all resonate throughout the set in a subtle interplay of sounds.
