Discover an exhibition of objects and documents on the theme of odds and ends.
At the Schneider factories in Le Creusot, some workers, trained in the rigours of the company's schools, would occasionally, before and after factory hours, tinker with various small everyday objects, both utilitarian and decorative. Most of these odds and ends were made between 1920 and 1960, when the factory employed thousands of workers. This leisure work, work for oneself, for pleasure, free, even playful - the "official" term for which is the wig - was accepted by the bosses.
All the objects presented here have been loaned by collectors or are part of the collections of Nouvelles Éditions du Creusot.
