Take a guided tour of the Perreuil forges. Located on the banks of the Canal du Centre and alongside the Dijon-Nevers railway line, the Perreuil forges are an industrial heritage site at a crossroads.
The site of the Perreuil forges has been evolving since the late 18th century: from a mill, it became a forge in the early 19th century, then a factory making refractory bricks and special moulds for the Schneider factories in Le Creusot for 140 years. For nearly forty years, it has been an artistic and technical ecosystem serving the performing arts.
The tour will begin with a slide show tracing the industrial history of the site from 1826 to 1982 and its development to the present day. Witnesses to industrial life and the site's current inhabitants will be on hand to enliven the visit.
The slide show will be shown at 2.30pm, 4pm and 5.30pm.
