"In Out" follows on from the "On Off" residency and exhibition held during France Design Week 2023, exploring the integration of a technical object - the light switch - into the medieval world of the 15th century.

For this second edition, the Fabrique du Patrimoine invited two designers to reinterpret another type of object linked to our modern uses: the electrical socket.
Usually relegated to the background, taking a back seat to its strict function, the electrical socket will be seeking to assert itself here. Drawing on references from the fifteenth to the eighteenth centuries, this year's show will explore the integration of this object at times when electricity did not yet exist.
