Formed in 1998, Groundation is one of the world's reggae legends. The mythical Californian jazz reggae band is reforming in 2018 around its leader Harrisson Stafford, who surrounds himself with the cream of musicians who, like him, have graduated from the prestigious Sonoma State University. To the jazz-infused reggae sound that has shaped the band's reputation since its inception, this new generation infuses its talent and creativity and honors the reputation that has made the band since its genesis.
After more than two decades and nine studio albums, Groundation, who helped define American roots reggae, is back with its 10th studio album "One Rock".
Kongô Blue (FR)
Kongô blue is the blues of the bush, the original blues from which reggae and soul are inspired... Five musicians, current and former members of the kèlè kèlè afrobeat group, driven by the growing desire to create a roots reggae project, got together in February 2016 and gave birth to the group Kongô Blue. Inspired by the great names of the genre (the Wailers, the Gladiators, Midnite...), Kongô Blue presents a repertoire of original songs, in the purest tradition of 70s reggae.
