Chased away by her father for a misunderstood word, harassed in the street, a young girl hides under an old woman's skin and sets off to travel the world.

A joyful and profound Italian tale about appearances and belonging, full of sunshine, dust, song, fleeting encounters, and love that puts its grain of salt where you least expect it. Anne Grigis accompanies her violin with music inspired by the trad' style, for a supple, rhythmic narration of this old story - which hasn't aged a day!

I learnt to play the fiddle as a child, and then went on to act with touring companies in search of a demanding and committed form of popular theatre: La Carriole in France, Ton und Kirschen in Germany. Now, as a storyteller in the land of beer, I feel like a juggler of yesteryear, wandering through other worlds and, at the turn of a phrase, discovering other faces in our lives with my most faithful stringed companion.
