In Leçon de Français, Pépito Matéo invites us to share his love of language, the ambiguity of words and misunderstandings. A pretext for all manner of eccentricities, this pseudo-lecture in the form of an object lesson is also a sensitive account of humanity and its differences, cultures and preconceptions. In this pursuit of French, which takes us from a ski slope to an administrative detention centre, the facetious storyteller never ceases to paint the world around us with his gentle madness of language and his singular poetry.
