A new exhibition entitled "Soldats du Feu" (Soldiers of Fire) is on show at the Jean Jaurès multimedia library in Nevers from 20 September to 30 November.
Come and browse through this red and blue-tinted exhibition, a panorama of the history of the Nevers fire brigade. Drawing on the collections and documents of our partner organisations and the media library, we invite you to follow the history and development of Nevers' "fire soldiers" from the end of the 18th century to the present day.
A special event is planned for Saturday 21 September 2024, as part of the European Heritage Days, with the presentation of several fire brigade vehicles,
The exhibition is accompanied by a special issue of the Annales des Pays Nivernais, published by the Camosine; an unpublished study of the Nevers fire brigade, written by Lieutenant-Colonel Patrice Lavole and published by the Amicale des Pompiers de Nevers; and the Nevers fire brigade calendar for 2025.
