Exhibition "Christmas time" at the Gautron du Coudray Museum in MARZY from 12-11 to 02-02 2023.
Historical exhibition on the ancient rites, the nativity, the Magi, the origins of the Christmas cycle and popular traditions
It shows the establishment of a syncretism slowly forged by the mixture of pagan and then Christian religious cultures, which has given life to our Christmas festival, inseparable from popular traditions presented with their origins. Two Santas, Saint Nicholas and Santa Claus, have not been forgotten.
The museum is open every afternoon from 2.30 to 5.30 p.m., except on Tuesdays and admission is free.
The Museum will welcome the last visitors during the first weekend of February on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 at 2.30 pm.
