Exhibition of paintings
Vladimir BOGOSAVLJEVIC, who was born in ex-Yugoslavia (Serbia), attended the Dijon Fine Arts School and has exhibited in several European countries.
This artist (listed at AKOUN) transmits in his powerfully expressive works, events and emotions from his travels through Asia, Africa or his own native country.
He expresses his intimate relationship with the earth, war, distress but also hope and joy of life. This year's exhibition is characterised by the artist's desire to break away from figurative art.
The artist expresses his perception of the power relations between heaven and earth, the tension between attraction and rejection. He achieves this as usual with very expressive colours, strong contrasts and a vehement dynamic that alternates with circular and fluid movements. Vladimir experimentally mixes different materials such as oil paint and spray paint, earth, sand, different pigments and fluids, which he allows to react together, intermingle, unite or collide.
Gifted with a keen sense of colour, he has a deep love for precious matter in all its forms, drawing the maximum of its substance from the canvas.
He says of himself:
"When I left my country I thought I had lost part of my identity, painting made me find it again by making me aware that my homeland was the world".
