At school, we go in two at a time, and leave in a happy mess. What if, for once, we held hands a little longer... or paws?
Director of the musical ensemble Les Épopées, Stéphane Fuget, in collaboration with actor and director Benjamin Lazar, has come up with the idea of a "buissonnière" escapade based on artists who have made friends with animals! Animals are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for poets and musicians, inhabiting both nature and children's dreams. This introductory concert-theatre is aimed at children, and features a merry menagerie, sung by soprano Claire Lefilliâtre, voiced by actor Benjamin Lazar and played on piano by Stéphane Fuget. We meet a bevy of creatures sketched by the notes of Maurice Ravel, Vladimir Cosma, Gabriel Fauré... A host of authors too, including Jules Renard, Victor Hugo and Jean de La Fontaine. Not forgetting, of course, Jacques Prévert, from whom the title of this show is borrowed. Parrots, butterflies, big turkeys, golden tortoises... In such good company, you'll be in no hurry to return home!
