In partnership with the winegrowers of the coteaux du giennois appellation and as part of the market's events.
Despite its name, the Musée de la Loire has a very diverse collection. In particular, it holds a number of works and objects relating to the vine and wine trades, which have earned it the Vignobles et Découvertes label. The museum also provides an insight into the vital importance of the river to the Loire wine trade until the 19th century.
This exclusive tour will give visitors a chance to discover some of these treasures, which have been taken out of storage for the occasion: statuettes of Saint Vincent, vineyard tools, cooper's tools, etc.
This will be followed by a tasting of wines from the Coteaux du Giennois offered by a winegrower from the appellation. As well as visiting the museum, you'll be able to find out more about the wines of the appellation, their terroirs, grape varieties and the diversity of their expressions.
