Conference on the portrait of Pierre-Paul Prud'hon

Two hundred years to the day after the death of the famous Cluny painter, this lecture will present the arrival in Cluny in 1842 of his portrait painted by François Buffet, what it evokes of Prud'hon's life as well as some research on its author.

The Association des Amis du Musée d'Art et d'Archéologie de Cluny (AMAAC) has financially supported the restoration of Pierre-Paul Prud'hon's portrait, which will soon be presented in the museum in Cluny as part of the commemoration of the bicentenary of the artist's death.
