Conference "From schools to museums: moulding collections in Burgundy - Franche-Comté and their development".

The conference will show the uses of casts in teaching in Burgundy - Franche-Comté. Alongside photographs, prints and engravings, and of course specialist literature, these plaster casts made up didactic and educational collections, used in the teaching of drawing, modelling and sculpture in fine art schools, and in art history and archaeology courses at university. The history of these disciplines and of the reception of Antiquity will be explored by the lecturers, who are senior lecturers in art history and archaeology at university.

The lectures will explore a theme linked to the temporary exhibition "Ce qui précède, carte blanche à Charlotte Guibé".
