In conjunction with the "Collection, raconte-nous une histoire" exhibition, for which a number of works by the artist Bernard Naudin have been loaned by the Musée Bertrand in Châteauroux, and to mark the 148th anniversary of the artist's birth on 11 November 1876, Claire Pierrot will talk about the life and work of this painter, some of whose drawings are held by the Musée de la Loire.
Coming from a modest background, nothing predestined Bernard Naudin, a young Berrichon, to embark on such an artistic career. With his talent for drawing, he won a scholarship to the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. A true jack-of-all-trades, Naudin excelled in various fields, including painting, drawing, engraving and even music! Beyond his military subjects, this artist deserves a spotlight on his body of work, which has marked almost 50 years of history.
