Concert Scarlatti à l’Abbaye de Fontenay en Bourgogne

Patrimoine en Musique proposes a concert dedicated to the Scarlatti brothers with a walk through the cloister of the Fontenay Abbey illuminated by 1200 candles.

Alessandro Scarlatti excelled in the genre of the cantata da camera, a miniature drama that was set in the heart of the palazzi. Here, two contrasting cantatas each depict a disappointment in love. Alternately, two sonatas a Quattro by A. Scarlatti and a concerto by his brother Francesco will be heard.
