Ensemble Obsidienne 2023 - 30 years of medieval music and creations

Creation within the framework of the residency in Sens " Mille ans de chansons " of the ensemble Obsidienne.
The Ensemble Obsidienne evokes the musical universe of Christopher Columbus who embarks on the festive, rhythmic and dancing melodies, between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, of the Cancionero del Palacio, with the elegance and refinement of courtly music, with traditional Sephardic songs.
Between joy and tragedy 1492 is the "discovery" of America but also the expulsion of the Jews from Spain and the end of the Reconquista, dramatic events that seal the end of the Middle Ages for modern history.
Creation within the framework of the residency in Sens " Mille ans de chansons " of the ensemble Obsidienne.
Obsidienne is supported by the DRAC Bourgogne Franche-Comté as part of the aid to subsidised ensembles, by the Conseil Régional de Bourgogne Franche-Comté, the Conseil Départemental de l'Yonne and the Ville de Sens.
