Christelle Téa au château de Saint-Point
Dessins de la Maison d’Alphonse de Lamartine et d’autres Maisons d’Illustres

Known for her drawings in the museums of the city of Paris, Christelle Téa explores in this exhibition the neo-Gothic world of the Château de Saint-Point. The artist, a graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Paris, has sketched freehand, without repentance, with her meticulous line, the two facades of the castle as well as certain rooms, such as the poet's famous study. From one drawing to the next, she writes an intimate and personal account of Lamartine's castle. Christelle Téa seeks resemblance but not realism, because drawing for her consists in selecting the most significant elements in the complexity of the visible. The exhibition will also present drawings of other Maisons d'Illustres, such as those of Honoré de Balzac, Gustave Caillebotte and Victor Hugo.
