Comics in the Brionnais

Meet the area... and tell its story... in comics.
Come and take part in this cultural and artistic project to showcase our region: the creation of a full-colour comic book for the general public (young people and adults), based on meetings and the collection of data on the region from groups of local people. The Brionnais and our villages will be the backdrop for the comic.
The team of authors creating the comic is made up of a scriptwriter, Hervé Loiselet, (Glénat, La Boîte à billes, Steinkis) and an illustrator, Alexandre Nesme, (Glénat, Humanoïdes...)
What role do local residents play in this project?
To get to grips with the identity of each village, the authors need your help! These discussions will enable us to collectively define the place, building, tradition, character, story or legend that characterises and identifies the area.
The artists will work on the script, writing and drawing and will share their creative work with you (for example, you'll find out how to prepare a script, how to image the drawn features of a character, etc.).
This project is aimed at all residents of the area's communes, which will be grouped into 7 centres (see map).
The project will run from the end of June 2024 to December 2025, from creation to publication.
