After the success of our previous exploration of this same theme in MAUPASSANT "AU BORD DU LIT" we are continuing our journey to the heart of the feminine soul by exploring the work of this great short story writer and man of the theatre: Anton TCHEKHOV.
Three portraits of women from 19th-century Russia who are so timeless that they seem to belong to our own time.
An unexpected take on Chekhov's work as we know it: melancholy and even sad at times. Chekhov is both light-hearted and comic, inspired by his unwavering admiration for the French boulevardiers, particularly Eugène Labiche.
A funny and little-known Chekhov!
