Arrivée du train de bois à Decize

The Flotescale association, which works on the promotion and enhancement of the heritage linked to the history of timber floating, is crossing the Nivernais territory this summer.

With the help of a 36m long wooden train via the Canal Latéral à la Loire and the Canal du Nivernais, the association's volunteers will be travelling from Nevers to Clamecy/Crain from 10 July to 15 August.
Today, this wooden train is stopping at the Port of Decize.

From 2pm to 6pm
- Violin making animation with the Titouan Bissonier workshop
Animation on the species of wood used in lutherie, exotic species (ebony, mahogany...) and local species (maple, walnut...), presentation of samples, (origin, use in electric and acoustic guitars). Demonstration to the public, presentation of the tools used and the stages of manufacture.

- Animation of wooden games with "le Conservatoire du jeu
Animation of traditional wooden games: Japanese billiards, Dutch billiards, Nicolas billiards and many others...

- Presentation of the Flotescale association
Exhibition of the association, its missions and actions

From 3.00 pm: Animation of folk dances and music with " la Pastourelle des trois Vallées ".
Traditional Bourbonnais dance and music shows with the folk group "la Pastourelle des 3 vallées".
