Algues Vertes par Mnemotechnic et Poing
A scandal, nauseating, that permeates our soils, our rivers and our beaches, our plates and our fields, our villages and our cities, our families, our farmers and our workers, our working class, our democracy, our lives.
Mnemotechnic and Poing (François Joncour) combine rock, noise and electronics to bring to the stage and screen the alert brilliantly launched by Inès Léraud and Pierre Van Hove.
Mnemotechnic is a noise rock band founded in 2009, based in Brest and Rennes.
With the perception of a world that is spinning out of control, "Weapons", their second album released in early 2017, had blackened the themes and music of a band turned trio. Causing the Capitalopocene and the general denial that dominates, its successor 'Blinkers' is no longer in doubt or foreboding. It digs even deeper into textures and sharp sonorities, as visceral as mechanical. With urgency as the driving force, the band reaffirms its singularity, hypnotizes, obsesses and remains faithful to its last fruitful collaborations since "Blinkers" is recorded, produced and mixed by Thomas Poli.
"Blinkers" is released on October 11, 2019 on À tant Rêver du Roi and Kerviniou Recordz labels.
Instrumentalist and sound designer, François Joncour began his musical adventure in pop bands (Pastoral Division, I Come From Pop) which gave him an immoderate taste for the stage and sound design. It was under the alias Poing that he developed his first solo compositions, published on the Karen Koltrane label. Surrounded by his synthesizers, he ventures into the fascinating lands of American minimalists, French contemporary composers and technoid pioneers. His recent collaborations with
His recent collaborations with visual artists, scientists and dancers have led him on fascinating sonic adventures and experiments of all kinds.
