The Ball... magic word, joy of the party, madness of the movement, romantic couples entwined in the waltz or the slow dance, or frenetic dances of the interwar period... fox-trot, charleston... without forgetting boleros, habaneras, czardas, tango...
The ball... the eternal meeting place, whether aristocratic or popular...... the matrimonial place par excellence, from the debutante ball to the waterside guinguette.
Throughout the concert, the singer has fun finding this dance flavour in the most unexpected musicians, the clarinet offers other escapes and the accordion gives the programme its popular and nostalgic colour.
