The city, the birthplace of the naturalist Georges-Louis Leclerc, Comte de Buffon, holds many treasures: The Orangerie Museum and Buffon park, landscaped between 1733 and 1742. Visit the villages surrounding the Abbey of Fontenay, registered on UNESCO's World Heritage list, and the Castle of Bussy-Rabutin.
