CHATEL-CENSOIR

In the Avallon region, the village of Châtel-Censoir lived on vineyards and the floating timber until the early 20th century. Visit the Saint-Potentien Romanesque collegiate church. Also take advantage of the Canal du Nivernais, or try your hand at climbing in the Saussois hills. Don't miss the Cave of Fairies, a majestic subterranean gallery punctuated by domes and chimneys.
