Restaurant William Frachot

A charming gastronomic break

In the centre of Dijon, the Hostellerie du Chapeau Rouge serves fine and delicious cuisine, which is constantly renewed. With a star in the 2013 Michelin Guide, this establishment, built during the 19th century, has kept its charm for an elegant gastronomic break.

Inspired and creative cuisine

Inspired from local customs and by his travels, William Frachot’s cuisine is constantly renewed. The chef at the Hostellerie du Chapeau Rouge defines his own dishes as “contemporary, with no frontiers, and creative”.

Trained in the restaurants of Bernard Loiseau and Lameloise, he serves up specialities, such as:

  • grapefruit sweetbread and carbonara mousse ;

  • venison loin with poivrade sauce, conchiglioni stuffed with foie gras and Perigord truffles.

Fine vintages and the chef’s wine discoveries complete this gourmet menu, awarded two stars in the 2013 Michelin Guide.

A light setting full of history

In the heart of Dijon, the Hostellerie du Chapeau Rouge welcomes you near Saint-Bénigne cathedral. The building, dating back to 1865, still has its charm of yesteryear.

The dining room is decorated with good taste and elegance. The bar will welcome you all day with a complete menu of cocktails, coffee, tea and whisky, served with delicious homemade appetizers.

Finally, while you eat lunch, dinner or just have a small bite, the valet parking service will take care of your vehicle.
