In the centre of Montceau-les-Mines, Le France, a Michelin starred establishment, features the best of Burgundy cuisine on its menu. Chef Jérôme Brochot creates refined recipes with local gourmet flavours.

At the head of Le France, Jérôme Brochot cooks elegantly and with finesse. This young chef, who was trained at the Lameloise restaurant in Chagny and Loiseau in Saulieu, has kept his taste for local cuisine and his love for what is true in cooking.

The majority of products are organic.

The menu features classics, with a slight new twist, such as:

  • Charolais beef candied with seasoning and fine slices of Comté ;

  • farm pigeon two ways, juniper berry juice ;

  • “like a bouchée à la reine” with sweetbread, frog legs and pike quenelle.

A charming decor for exceptional moments

Located 15 kilometres from Le Creusot, Le France restaurant will give you a warm welcome in Montceau-les-Mines. The establishment, which was awarded a star in the 2013 Michelin Guide, is elegantly decorated with harmonious shades of beige and white.

While you enjoy your meal, admire the impressive Burgundy stone fireplaces and the solid wood floor, which shows lovely signs of age.

Upon booking, you can also take cookery lessons with chef Brochot, who is always delighted to share his know-how.
