2 From log to clog

Clog making working in the Morvan

The wonderful scent of wood here will whisk you back in time, back to the scent of sharpening your pencil when you were younger. This is where traditional know-how is passed down from father to son.

Clogs are made here using traditional methods. The wood is shaped and carved using machines that were built in the 19th century, and finishing touches are then added by hand. The result? Wonderful, traditional creations decorated with pretty detailing

3 A culinary revolution

Seb Factory

The "Société d’Emboutissage de Bourgogne" (SEB) was founded in 1953 in Selongey and is well-known for its small cooking appliances, and the "super cocotte" (pressure cooker) in particular. Since that first product, SEB has gone from strength to strength, innovating and opening new industrial sites.

Despite this growth, Selongey remains the nerve centre of SEB. The site opens its doors upon request for associations.

In Tournus, the SEB group has a clearance outlet store for some of the most well-known products (Téfal, Moulinex, Calor, Rowenta, etc.) with minor defects or products from old collections.
