A few years ago, BENOIT JOAILLIER PARIS transferred part of its workshops to the historic heart of Auxerre. An old building known as the MAISON ROUGE on rue de la Draperie, which has been home to generations of jewellers, goldsmiths and watchmakers since the 14th century, seemed to be waiting for the craftsman who would be able to show lovers of this ancient heritage this venerable house and the techniques of jewellery making as practised in the past and now.
