Situated south of Auxerre, 13 km north of Clamecy and around fifteen kilometres from Vézelay, Lucy sur Yonne is at the gateway to the Morvan Regional Park, bordered by the Yonne, Nivernais and Avallonnais regions. The Nivernais Canal, which passes through Lucy sur-Yonne and links Auxerre, Clamecy and Decize, is lined with a cycle route that follows the towpath for 170 kilometres. It's a great way for walkers, sports enthusiasts and adventurers to discover the charm of the region's waterways. Burgundy is rich in cultural heritage and renowned for its vineyards and fine food, so you'll want to stay for a night, a weekend or longer. After operating a hotel barge on the Burgundy canals (a boat that welcomed a cosmopolitan clientele), your hosts have thrown in the towel and now welcome you into their home. This former farmhouse in the heart of the village is set around a flower-filled courtyard, and its refurbished buildings combine modernity with the charm of our old homes. You'll find your own bedroom with private shower room, and if you wish, Marie-Claude will be happy to cook you dinner.
