The musée Saint-Germain, an ambitious project which seeks to promote the heritage of the Auxerre region, takes visitors on an amazing journey back in time. The Saint-Germain Abbey forms the backdrop to the museum; its collections, which include jewels, weapons, statues and coins, will take you back through the ages, from Prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. Don’t miss the sacristy, dedicated to the fascinating figure of St Germain, and the model of the abbey in the monk’s hall!
